O. Coke Floyd, Jr., CLU®, Insurance Advisor at Dempster & Floyd Financial Partners, has dedicated over 54 years to the financial services industry. Growing up in Conway, South Carolina, Coke developed a strong foundation in values and hard work. He pursued his higher education at the University of South Carolina, where he graduated with a marketing degree. His military service further honed his discipline and leadership, earning him the Dress Blues as the Outstanding Recruit of Platoon 129 at Parris Island Marine Corps Training Depot in April 1969.
Coke currently resides in Columbia, South Carolina, where he enjoys an active social life with an abundance of close friends. Outside of work, Coke loves to fish and hunt, and he once had a deep passion for golf. He is also a devoted contributor to Cancer Of Many Colors, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that holds a special place in his heart.
Coke's journey in the financial industry began on March 1, 1971, when he joined Prudential Insurance Company of America. Inspired by his brother, M. Dale Floyd, who was already thriving in the industry, Coke embarked on a career that would span more than five decades.
As an Insurance Advisor, his favorite part of his job is reviewing the plans he put into place years, sometimes decades, ago, with current clients. He finds great comfort in seeing these plans work as intended, and he takes pride in the trust and confidence his clients place in him.
